THE ROOT CAUSE APPROACH
Inflammation is a symptom. It’s usually a nutrition problem!
The majority of people treat inflammation using anti-inflammatory drugs that simply cover it up. Our job is to uncover what’s contributing to its consumption in the diet and lifestyle and cut it out at the source.
Inflammation is the cry for help in your body. If it is chronic (occurring over a long period of time), it is almost always a nutritional problem and will likely manifest as one of the following: joint pain, digestive problems, brain fog, fatigue or skin problems.
We don’t give you a “one-size-fits-all” meal plan and let you go.We are an experienced anti-inflammatory diet coach and don’t send you away with a meal plan that is supposed to fit all! We take the time to find out who you are, what it is you’re eating and what it is your system responds to that causes inflammation and we create a REAL strategy with you to help your body.
Everyone is unique and the diet that may help one person could cause problems for another. “Individualization isn’t a luxury – it’s a necessity.
Our nutrition coaching focuses on finding root causes, changing what needs changing and walking with you as you go along – a functional wellness approach that is inherent in the HealthfullyU philosophy.
Signs Your Nutrition May Be Driving Inflammation:

Recurrent pain or stiffness in joints

Severe bloating, flatulence or stomach upset (long-term)

When tiredness does not go away after resting

The brain fog or a lack of concentration can be a serious issue

Changes in blood sugar levels, food cravings or energy crashes

Rashes like eczema, acne or rosacea

Increased susceptibility to illness / delayed recovery

Unexplained weight fluctuations
WHAT'S INCLUDED
Four Core Pillars of Our Anti-Inflammatory Nutrition Coaching
Every area collaborates – nutrition from all angles that makes a difference.
01 - Personalized Anti-Inflammatory Meal Planning
The basic anti-inflammatory diet fails to take into account the fact that there are different types of body, history and food tolerance. We customize your meal plan to your individual inflammatory and nourishing triggers and to your lifestyle. This isn’t a template. It’s a plan designed for you.
Your plan offers you food timing advice, anti-inflammatory food priorities, practical meal ideas and continuous tweaking as your body adjusts.
02 - Elimination Diet Coaching & Guidance
One of the best things you can do for long-term health is to find out what foods trigger the symptoms of your allergy. Our elimination diet process is systematic, meaning that we eliminate all the most likely inflammatory culprits to determine which foods are causing your symptoms, which include gluten, dairy, sugar, processed foods, and more.
We take you through every stage using strict protocols, symptom monitoring and professional analysis of your body’s reactions.
03 - Blood Sugar Balance & Metabolic Support
One of the most underestimated causes of systemic inflammation is chronically high blood sugar. When blood sugar goes up, the inflammatory process goes up – to your joints, your hormones, your energy and your mood.
We help you choose the right foods to eat, plan them, space them out, and incorporate lifestyle choices that help to keep your blood sugar level more stable naturally, thus minimizing the inflammatory load caused by unstable glucose on a daily basis.
04 - Gut-Friendly Nutrition & Digestive Support
The gut is the hub of your immune system – and a leaky gut is one of the main sources of systemic inflammation. These leaky gut, dysbiosis and digestive dysfunction are all drivers of inflammation that you cannot seem to switch off.
The nutrition coaching we provide is designed to restore your gut health: the foods, habits and patterns that heal the gut lining, a healthy gut microbiome and proper regulation of inflammation by your immune system.

We Walk With You – Making the change to a healthy diet and lifestyle is difficult. We offer face-to-face real time support, not a plan and a goodbye.

90%+ of our clients are able to completely heal their bodies, including those who visited several practitioners with no results.
40 years of unbroken functional wellness practice – deep understanding of the development of inflammation, and how to reverse it.
All of our work is drug-free, whole-person and based on the premise that, when conditions are right, the body has a natural capacity to heal itself.
Frequently Asked Questions : Anti-Inflammatory Nutrition Coaching
How long before you feel a difference on an anti-inflammatory diet?
One of the most frequent asked questions on Reddit and one of the most honest too. But the honest one is: It depends. For some, their energy and digestion will improve dramatically in 2-3 weeks after eliminating triggers. For some with more profound inflammatory patterns or gut issues, a few months of time may be needed to see a significant improvement. What most people don’t realize is that the rate of improvement is related to the accuracy of your diet targeting your specific triggers, making a personalized diet much faster to work than a general diet!
Is an anti-inflammatory diet the same as eating clean?
No, not at all and the difference is significant. Eating clean usually means steering clear of processed foods and eating more whole ingredients (this is a great base, but it doesn’t cover each person’s potential inflammatory trigger). There are certain individuals who find that so-called “clean foods” can be very inflammatory. The right kind of food can actually cause inflammation in some people, even oats, nightshade veggies, eggs, legumes and some fruit. The best anti-inflammatory diet is a specific one – rather than just focusing on the quality of your food, it focuses on what your body reacts to.
What is the hardest part of starting an anti-inflammatory diet?
What we hear from our clients on a regular basis, it’s not the willpower that’s difficult, it’s the lack of knowledge when considering which changes are going to matter for your body in particular. People typically implement anti-inflammatory eating diets to find there is a slight improvement, but not sure what else is blocking them. Social and practical problems are the second most frequent ones: meals with family, eating out and keeping up the changes when life gets busy. These are both the types of problems that coaching is for – not only to provide you with a strategy, but to help you execute it with you.
Can you eat too many anti-inflammatory foods?
Yes – an answer that surprises most people. There are certain foods that are anti-inflammatory, but if consumed in too large of a quantity, they can cause imbalances. High doses of omega-3 foods may disrupt the balance of the omega 6. High consumption of cruciferous vegetables can cause thyroid problems in susceptible people. Consuming a lot of some antioxidant rich fruits can raise blood sugar for those who are metabolically sensitive. It is not always better the more you have. The main idea is not adding as much as you can of each of these super foods to a day. It’s not about fitting in as many super foods as can fit on a day.
Is this medical care or functional medicine?
HealthfullyU isn’t your chiropractor, health doctor, or functional medicine physician, it’s a functional wellness coach. All of our products are educational, non-medical and lifestyle oriented. We are not a medical facility and do not diagnose or treat medical conditions. We focus on lifestyle and nutritional patterns that are impacting wellness, and provide you with coaching to change your patterns. Medical routes have not been able to give many clients the answers or results they were seeking, so they turn to us.
How long does an elimination diet take?
A well done elimination diet usually lasts for four to eight weeks, consisting of an elimination period followed by a period of regular reintroduction of foods. The length will vary according to foods being measured and individual body reactions. It takes you through all the stages, with protocols, timelines, and understanding of what your body is saying to you – giving you specific knowledge that you can take action on when it comes to food tolerances.
