What Is Immune Dysregulation?

Your body’s defence system works to keep you safe, respond to the threat and return to a calm and balanced state. When this cycle fails, the system remains in “alert” mode or is unable to respond to alerts when needed. This is what is called immune dysregulation.

It does not represent a diagnosis. It’s a sign, it’s a pattern — something’s out of sync in your body’s communication network. It may stem from the gut, the nervous system, or chronic stress to life over the last several months, or even years.

The positive part: Patterns can change. Your body can make its way back to balance with the appropriate support.

Root Causes of Chronic Immune Imbalance

Immune imbalance most often has multiple causes. It tends to build up over time due to multiple contributing factors.

Gut Health Disruption

The gut is responsible for about 70% of your immune activity. Immune signalling is compromised when there are problems with gut lining, bacterial imbalance or nutrient absorption.

Chronic Stress Load

Persistent mental and physical stress leaves the nervous system constantly ‘wired up’ and exerts a steady effect on immune regulation.

Nutritional Gaps

A lack of certain nutrients such as zinc, vitamin D, omega-3s and more, silently damages the immune system’s ability to regulate itself.

Lifestyle Patterns

Low-grade imbalance is established through disrupted sleep, sedentary lifestyle and ultra-processed diets and accumulates over time.

Environmental Triggers

Exposure to toxins, pollutants and some foods can be a chronic trigger that keeps the system from calming down.

A Functional Wellness Methodology

We don’t treat symptoms separately. Each plan starts by taking a comprehensive look at your health history, your current patterns, your diet, your stress level, your sleep and your gut. We then create a roadmap that is unique to you that focuses on what is truly causing your immune imbalance — not what it appears to be on the outside.

Since these three systems talk to each other on an all the time basis, our approach is carried out at the intersection of the gut, immune system and the nervous system. Supporting one without taking into account the others usually does not yield long-term effects.

All of our recommended steps are evidence-based, life-oriented and doable. No extreme protocols. No unrealistic expectations.

Frequently Asked Questions : Immune Dysregulation Recovery Program

Is this programme suitable for me if I haven't been given a formal diagnosis?

Yes. Often clients present with no diagnosis and simply a sense that something isn’t right. We do not use labels in our assessment process, but rather patterns and underlying factors. This programme is available to anyone regardless of being diagnosed.

A standard treatment is necessary and we always recommend that a client stay in contact with his/her medical providers. We provide a complimentary service – an in-depth assessment of lifestyle, nutrition and gut health topics that are typically not covered in a typical appointment. We do not treat individual symptoms, but rather the root picture.

The majority of clients will be with us for 3-6 months or longer. It takes time to create lasting immune balance, taking repeated signals over weeks before immune changes are meaningful. However, there are reports of improvements in energy, digestion and sleep in the first 4-6 weeks in many clients.

Not necessarily. One tool, not the basis, is supplements. The first priority on your plan will be food and lifestyle. If identified there will be targeted, evidence-based recommendations made, and always with the reasoning so you are able to make an informed decision.

Yes. Plans are developed based on your everyday life, not your idealised life. We are aiming for sustainable progress and not perfection. From the outset, we take your time constraints, cooking skills, stress levels and practical considerations into account.

Yes. The programme is hosted online with video call sessions for all; the programme is available to all located anywhere. We have clients from all over the world.

The investment will be shared during your free discovery call, as the programme structure is tailored to your needs. We have flexible options and are available to discuss what is suitable for you.

There may be variations in results depending on the individual, the duration of imbalance, and consistency in implementation of the Plan. Benefits are increased energy, easier digestion, decreased seasonal reactions, more stable mood and improved sleep. We will be honest about the timeline/s and have a realistic idea upfront.
